Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

It's been pretty busy the last month and a half, but it has also been a whole lot of fun! Isabella is now eating rice cereal and a variety of vegetables, her favorite being avocado. Last week she started scooting (which is basically crawling without lifting her belly off the ground) and man can she move!! So between scooting and walking in her walker she is trying to get into everything, which has been quite an adjustment for Mommy.

For Valentine's Weekend, Daddy took his favorite girls to Austin and we had a blast! Isabella got to stay in her first hotel room and Mommy got to eat her favorite Austin food (Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Kerbey Lane).

Valentine's Day!

Scooting on the Hotel Bed

It is amazing how fast she is in her walker. Not only that, but she can maneuver in and out of doorways like a pro, which has proved to be very useful in her puppy and kitty chasing adventures!

Never forget to stop and smell the roses!

Cruising on a winter afternoon

Isabella loves to grab our hands and pull herself up. As soon as she stands up, she looks around at everyone (dogs included) and just smiles at us so proud of her accomplishment.

Every month I've tried to take a picture on her "birthday", but for the 6 month picture she was not really in a picture-taking mood so here is a lovely shot of her chewing on her shoe.

The first feeding actually went really well and it seemed like Isabella was really excited about eating like a big girl, but by the next day, the novelty had worn off. But we stuck with it and now she is eating rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet peas, carrots, green beans, avocados, and sweet potatoes (not all at once of course) and tonight we're going to try some squash...yum, yum!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

and I haven't even posted Thanksgiving pictures yet!?! Well, here are some Thanksgiving pictures, preparing for Christmas pictures, and some other fun stuff in between.

(The pictures are actually in order from newest to oldest so you may want to start at the bottom and work your way up.)

Preparing for Christmas

Decorating the Christmas tree was a lot of fun, and so far Marley (the cat) hasn't tried to climb it yet!

I had every intention of sending Christmas cards this year, which is why I took the pictures below, but since it's already so late into the month I've decided the blog will have to make due so...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,
Joe, Michelle and Isabella

Some Other Fun Stuff In Between

Cousin Haley's 5th birthday party was a blast! We didn't get any pictures with the birthday girl, but here's one of Isabella hanging out in their car walker.

Isabella can now sit by herself without falling down, well at least she doesn't fall down right away. For this particular photo session, she sat for a good two to three minutes before toppling over, but no worries, Daddy was there to catch her.

Mommy's birthday wasn't exactly the greatest day, but Isabella always has a way of turning my frowny upside downy!

Isabella's newest toy...the bouncer!

Thanksgiving at Grandma's

We had a great time and ate lots of yummy food even though Daddy's back was hurting him the whole time. Isabella had on a super cute outfit for the big day, but the hat and socks were extremely short lived...but it's ok because she still looked adorable.

Early Thanksgiving with the Murphy Family

We went up to Dallas the weekend before Thanksgiving to have an early Thanksgiving feast with my mom's side of the family. There aren't a lot of pictures of the actual day because we were all too busy eating the wonderful food my Aunt Maddie made.

Halloween Weekend in Rockwall

Aunt Julie took this picture of Isabella and I just love it!

We put Isabella in Haley's old bathing suit and she got to go in the hot tub for the first time...needless to say she enjoyed every minute of it so we relaxed in the hot tub both Friday and Saturday night!

No trick or treating this year, but dressing up Isabella was so much fun! So many people had given her cute stuff that we had a few different outfit changes for the big day.

In her Ghost bib with Mammy and Pops...

As Tigger With Daddy...

With cousins Haley as Snow White and Jack as a Skunk (Austin, the pirate, didn't want to pose for a picture)...

As Minnie Mouse...

Then on Sunday, Uncle Ed came over and took a lot of awesome pictures. Here are just a few of them...

After such an exciting weekend, Isabella was exhausted!
